How to Craft a KV-1 Turret

Required Materials

A KV-1 Turret is one of the four KV-1 components you need before the tank is complete. You must already have the KV-1 Hull, KV-1 Barrel, and KV-1 Track recipes unlocked or craftable, because all four parts use the same crafting_shaped recipe type and share overlapping ingredients.

Crafting Steps

1. Gather the base materials used across all KV-1 parts. These are the same ingredient families you use for the KV-1 Hull and KV-1 Barrel.

2. Open a crafting table and place the ingredients in the shaped pattern for the KV-1 Turret. The recipe is registered as a crafting_shaped recipe, so the exact arrangement of items in the grid matters.

3. Take the finished KV-1 Turret from the output slot.

Using the Turret

A KV-1 Turret on its own is only a component. To assemble a functional KV-1 you need all four pieces: KV-1 Hull, KV-1 Turret, KV-1 Barrel, and KV-1 Track. Craft each one separately, then combine or place them according to the mod's assembly method. If you are also building the KV-2, note that the KV-2 parts are separate registry items and cannot be substituted for KV-1 parts. Keep your KV-1 set together so you do not mix turrets between the two variants.
