Crafting the Spore Bomb

Spore Bomb is a block crafted through a crafting_shaped recipe. Place the required ingredients in the pattern shown in your recipe book, then take the finished Spore Bomb to where you want it. Creeper Spore Sack is a separate block in the same family and is also craftable.

Placement and Use

Place a Spore Bomb on the ground and trigger it to release Creeper Spores. The Spores are the active effect; the Bomb is the delivery block. Creeper Spore Sack serves as a stationary source of the same spore effect.

Defending Against Spores

Blast-Proof Plating, Blast-Proof Plates, Blast-Proof Slab, Blast-Proof Stairs, and Blast-Proof Vertical Slab are the blocks to build with when you want to contain spore and blast damage. Line the floor and walls of a spore testing room with Blast-Proof Plates, then use Blast-Proof Slab and Blast-Proof Stairs for the entrance. Blast-Proof Vertical Slab covers corners cleanly.

Wear Griefer Boots, Griefer Leggings, Griefer Chestplate, and Griefer Helmet while handling Spore Bombs. The full Griefer set reduces the risk of taking damage from your own detonations.
