Create a Smooth Hillside Using Slopes
Prepare Your Terrain
Start with an uneven hill or flat ground where you want to build your slope. Slopes work best when you're transitioning between two different heights, so plan your start and end points first.
Build Your Slope
1. Equip the Slopes Tool
2. Right-click on a solid full block at your starting height
3. The block converts into a slope angled upward
4. Continue right-clicking adjacent blocks moving up the hill to create a continuous ramp
5. Stack slopes vertically or horizontally depending on your desired gradient
Adjust Slope Height
Each slope can be fine-tuned by right-clicking it again to lower its step height. This lets you create gentle, gradual inclines rather than steep jumps. Experiment with different heights to match your terrain's natural flow.
Finishing Touches
The slopes retain your original block's texture and grass tinting, so a grass block slope looks like natural terrain. Layer different slope materials (dirt, stone, grass) to create realistic hillsides that blend seamlessly into your landscape.
