Survey Your Path

Decide where your pathway should go and identify the high and low points along the route. Slopes let you avoid building stairs or flat platforms that look unnatural.

Lay Down Your Path Material

1. Choose a block for your path—stone, gravel, dirt, or custom blocks all work

2. Place blocks along your desired route

3. Equip the Slopes Tool

Convert Blocks to Slopes

1. Right-click each block along your path to convert it into a slope

2. Adjust each slope's height by right-clicking again until it smoothly transitions to the next block

3. Create a gentle gradient rather than sudden drops or rises

Blend With Surroundings

The slopes retain the original block's texture and biome grass tinting, so your path looks like it belongs in the landscape. Add slopes around the edges to feather the path into the surrounding terrain for a natural appearance.
