Build a Realistic Roof Using Slope Blocks

Choose Your Roof Material

Select a full block that matches your building's aesthetic—stone, wood, terracotta, or any solid block works. The slope will keep the original texture and color.

Create the Roof Frame

1. Build two parallel walls at your desired roof height

2. Leave a gap between them for the roof peak

3. Equip the Slopes Tool

Apply Slopes to Form the Roof

1. Right-click blocks on one wall, angling them toward the center

2. Right-click blocks on the opposite wall, angling them the same direction

3. Adjust step heights on each slope to create a symmetrical peak

4. Continue this pattern along the entire roof length

Refine the Pitch

Use right-clicks to lower slope heights until your roof has the pitch you want. Steeper roofs use taller steps; gentler roofs use shorter steps. The slopes will automatically apply proper shading and lighting to look three-dimensional.
