How to Make Salt with the Redstone Desalinator

Place the desalinator

Craft and place a Redstone Desalinator. This block converts water into Salt. Give it a redstone signal to run, then supply it with water — either by placing it near water or by feeding it water source blocks depending on your setup.

Collect Salt

When the Redstone Desalinator runs, it produces Salt. Pull the Salt out of the output and store it. Salt is used as a filling at the Sandwich Table and as a seasoning ingredient in other recipes.

Use Salt in cooking

Take your Salt to a Cutting Board or Sandwich Table. Add it to chopped and cooked ingredients like Cooked Chopped Carrot, Cooked Chopped Onion, Cooked Chopped Beetroot, Cooked Tomato Slice, Cooked Pork Cuts, Cooked Chicken Filet, Cooked Cod Filet, Cooked Salmon Filet, or Bacon Strips.
