How to Defeat the Salt Mage Boss

Locating the Salt Ruins

The Salt Mage awaits in underground Salt Ruins, which generate deep beneath Salt Flat biomes. Descend to Y level -27 and search for the ruin structure. These underground chambers contain multiple stone plinths arranged around a central arena. Bring a flint and steel or fire source to ignite the summoning mechanism.

Summoning and Fighting the Boss

Light all the plinths positioned around the arena perimeter. Once activated, shoot the central block with an arrow or projectile to awaken the Salt Mage. The boss will emerge and begin attacking—prepare for a challenging fight.

Preparation Tips

Bring full diamond or better armor, a strong sword, and a bow with plenty of arrows. Stock healing potions and salted food for sustained recovery during combat. The Salt Mage uses magical attacks, so maintaining distance and using ranged weapons is effective. Consider building a small shelter nearby to retreat and heal if overwhelmed. Defeat the boss to claim valuable loot and complete one of the mod's major challenges.
