Customize Cloud Appearance
Locate Cloud Settings
Open Shader Options and find the Cloud section. Salicylic Lite features reworked clouds as a core feature, and several parameters are usually adjustable.
Adjust Cloud Density and Coverage
- Cloud Density: Controls how thick and opaque clouds appear. Increase for more dramatic cloud formations; decrease for lighter, airier skies.
- Cloud Coverage: Determines what percentage of the sky clouds occupy. Lower values create scattered clouds; higher values produce overcast conditions.
Modify Cloud Height and Softness
- Cloud Height: Adjusts the altitude at which clouds render, affecting their visual relationship to terrain.
- Cloud Softness: Increases blur and feathering on cloud edges. Higher values produce the softer, cleaner aesthetic Salicylic Lite is known for.
Fine-Tune Lighting on Clouds
Some settings allow adjustment of how sunlight and shadows interact with clouds, affecting their brightness during day and night cycles.
Preview and Iterate
Adjust one parameter, then travel to an open area or use Creative mode to observe clouds from different angles and times of day. Revert or refine settings until the cloud appearance matches your preference while maintaining the shader's clean, natural style.
