Building a Multi-Line Berlin S-Bahn Network
Planning Your Network Structure
Start by sketching out 3–5 main lines that intersect at central stations. The real Berlin S-Bahn has a radial structure with a central loop, so consider replicating this layout. Use different paint styles of the BR 481, BR 483, and BR 485 to visually distinguish each line.
Creating Interchange Stations
Build larger stations where multiple lines meet. These should have multiple platforms and clear signage so players understand which trains serve which routes. The pack's detailed train models make these interchanges visually impressive, especially when multiple trains are present.
Connecting Outer Stations
Extend lines outward from your center to suburban stations. Vary the station architecture—make central stations grand and outer stations simpler. This creates a sense of progression and realism.
Depot and Maintenance Areas
Design a depot where trains are stored and maintained. Park different train types here to show your fleet composition. This area doesn't need to be elaborate but should feel functional and organized.
Testing Your Routes
Walk or ride along each line to ensure sightlines are good and the trains display properly. Adjust lighting and platform positioning as needed so the detailed models shine.
