Achieve Different Lighting Moods Across Biomes
Understand RTUShader's Biome System
RTUShader applies custom sky coloring and lighting adjustments per biome. Different environments receive distinct color grading and shadow behavior, creating varied moods throughout your world.
Explore Biome-Specific Effects
Visit different biomes to observe how RTUShader renders them:
- Forests and jungles: Receive softer, more diffused lighting due to canopy simulation
- Deserts and plains: Display brighter, more direct sunlight with sharper shadows
- Mountains: Show enhanced contrast and clearer air perspective
- Nether and End: Receive specialized color grading separate from overworld biomes
Customize Biome Lighting (If Available)
Some RTUShader versions allow per-biome adjustments. Check the shader menu for biome-specific sliders. If available, you can enhance warm tones in deserts or increase fog density in swamps.
The gentle sky transitions built into RTUShader mean sunrise and sunset look different in each biome. Spend time exploring at different times of day to fully appreciate how the shader adapts lighting to terrain and environment type.
