Optimize RSRP Shaders Performance on Older Computers

Confirm Shader is Enabled

First, verify RSRP Shaders is active in Settings → Video Settings → Shaders. The pack is intentionally lightweight and should run smoothly even on older hardware.

Reduce Other Graphics Settings

If you experience lag, lower your render distance and disable fancy graphics options like clouds and particles. RSRP Shaders itself has minimal performance impact, so bottlenecks usually come from other video settings.

Monitor Frame Rate

Check your FPS using the debug screen (F3 on most systems). RSRP Shaders should add only a small performance cost compared to vanilla. If frames drop significantly, the issue likely lies elsewhere.

Disable Unnecessary Features

Turn off animated textures, reduce entity shadows, and lower your FOV if needed. These settings interact with shaders and can compound performance issues on older systems.

Fallback Option

If performance remains poor, disable RSRP Shaders and rely on vanilla rendering. The mod is optional and won't affect gameplay—your world will run at full speed without it.
