How to Make a Drying Rack and Dry Fresh Flax

Craft the Drying Rack

The Drying Rack is the block that turns Fresh Flax into Dry Flax. Craft it using the mod's shaped recipes; the ingredients come from your Flax harvest. Place the Drying Rack on the ground where you want your processing station.

Load It With Fresh Flax

Harvest Flax Crop to get Fresh Flax. Interact with the Drying Rack to place Fresh Flax on it. The rack holds the flax while it dries. You can run several racks side by side to process a full harvest at once.

Collect Dry Flax

When drying finishes, the rack yields Dry Flax. Take the Dry Flax off the rack and move it to your crafting area. Dry Flax is the input for Rope, so keep the rack stocked whenever you are farming.

Keep the Loop Running

A simple setup: one patch of Flax Crop, one Drying Rack, one crafting spot. Harvest Flax Crop for Fresh Flax and Flax Seeds, replant the seeds, load the rack, and craft Rope from the Dry Flax. This loop supplies Rope, Block of Rope, and Rope Arrow without any other material.
