How to Grow and Mutate Plants with Powders

Growth Powder Basics

Growth Powder is produced in the Mortar with the Pestle. Once you have a stack, use it on growing plants to push them forward instantly instead of waiting on random ticks.

Apply Growth Powder to speed up crops and to force flowers and bushes to mature. This is the fastest way to farm the berries and flowers you need for other recipes.

Mutating Powder

Mutating Powder is the second powder from the Mortar. Where Growth Powder accelerates, Mutating Powder transforms. Use it on a plant to attempt to convert it into a different species.

The plants you are targeting are the mod's special flora:

• Flare Orchid
• Radiant Daisy
• Midnight Bloom
• Infernal Bulb
• Nightshade
• Verdant Sprig

These are the plants that feed into higher-tier crafting. Mutating Powder is how you obtain them without hunting for rare world generation.

Workflow

1. Farm a large patch of ordinary plants.

2. Grind bark and berries into Mutating Powder.

3. Apply Mutating Powder repeatedly until the target flower appears.

4. Once you have one, use Growth Powder to multiply it quickly.

5. Harvest and store the results for Spell Powder and Runic Focus crafting.

Keep both powders stocked. Growth Powder for volume, Mutating Powder for variety.
