How to Use the Environmental Controller with Modules

Placing and Powering the Controller

Place an Environmental Controller and power it with Wire. This block applies status effects to players in its area. It does nothing until you insert modules that define which effects it grants.

Choosing Effect Modules

Insert modules into the Environmental Controller to select effects. Available modules include Speed Module and Speed+ Module, Haste Module and Haste+ Module, Regeneration Module and Regeneration+ Module, Saturation Module and Saturation+ Module, Featherfalling Module and Featherfalling+ Module, Nightvision Module, Waterbreathing Module, Flight Module, Glowing Module, Luck Module, Peaceful Module, and Noteleport Module. The Plus variants are stronger versions of the base module. Negative modules also exist — Blindness Module, Poison Module, Slowness Module, and Weakness Module — which apply harmful effects instead.

Tuning the Area

Set the controller's range so it covers the area you want affected. Every module you add increases the effect load, so use only the modules you need. A Syringe can apply a stored effect directly to a player rather than through the controller field, which is useful for one-off doses. Combine Speed+ Module with Haste+ Module for a work area, or Regeneration+ Module with Saturation+ Module for a safe zone. Remove a module to stop granting that effect immediately.
