How to Monitor Inventories and Machines on a Screen

Inventory Monitoring

Place an Inventory Checker next to the inventory you want to watch, then connect it to a Screen Controller with a Screen Link. Insert an Inventory Screen Module or Inventory Plus Screen Module into the Screen Controller. The module reads the checker and displays the contents on the Screen. The Plus variant shows more detail in the same space. Use this to watch a chest, a machine's input, or a storage array without opening it.

Machine and Energy Readouts

For machines, use a Machine Information Screen Module, which reports the state of a supported machine block. For power, use an Energy Screen Module or Energy Plus Screen Module to display stored energy. For fluids, use a Fluid Screen Module or Fluid Plus Screen Module, drawing from a Tank. Place the Tank and connect it so the module has a source to read.

Combining Readouts

A single Screen Controller can hold several modules at once. Assign each module its own position on the screen grid so readouts sit side by side. Add a Text Screen Module for labels, and a Button Screen Module if you want an on-screen control. Keep the Screen Controller powered with Wire, and confirm each module points at the correct checker, tank, or machine before relying on the display.
