Using Screen Modules on a Console Screen

Choose a Screen Module

Four screen modules exist: Console Screen Module, Graphics Card, Interaction Screen Module, Variable Screen Module, and Vector Art Screen Module. Each module renders a different kind of information on a screen. Pick the module that matches what you want to display — text and variables, interactive buttons, or vector graphics.

Install the Module

Place a screen block and open its interface. Insert the chosen Screen Module into a module slot. The screen will not render anything until a module is installed and a program drives it.

Drive the Screen from a Processor

Connect the screen to a Processor through a Node. Write a Program Card in the Programmer that writes values to the screen module — for example, setting a variable, drawing a vector, or defining an interaction target. Load the Program Card into the Processor and power the network.

Read and React

Interaction Screen Modules let a player click elements on the screen; the Processor reads those clicks and branches its program accordingly. Variable Screen Modules display live values from the running program. Vector Art Screen Modules draw shapes. Graphics Cards handle heavier rendering. If the screen stays blank, confirm the module is seated, the Node is linked, and the Processor is running a program that writes to that screen.
