How to Build and Power the Builder

Placing and Configuring the Builder

Place the Builder block where you want it to operate. Open it to access its control screen. You need a Shape Card to define what the Builder does. Craft a Shape Card, then right-click it to open its configuration and choose a shape (such as a box, sphere, or quarry). Insert the configured Shape Card into the Builder's card slot.

Supplying Power and Materials

A Scanner is used to scan an area into a shape so the Builder knows what to build or mine. Place the Scanner, give it a Shape Card, and let it scan the region. The scanned data is stored on the card, which you then move to the Builder.

The Builder requires power to run. Connect it to your power network. For mining operations, the Builder needs an inventory to receive the blocks it breaks — place a chest or other container adjacent to it. For building operations, supply the Builder with the blocks it should place. Once powered and supplied, the Builder executes the shape defined by the card. Use the Projector to preview the shape before running the Builder, so you can confirm the area and orientation are correct.
