Crafting the Smart Wrench

The Smart Wrench is the tool you use to configure and rotate RFTools Base machines. Craft it from Infused Diamond and Infused Enderpearl along with a Machine Base. Because it needs infused materials, produce Infused Diamond and Infused Enderpearl in the Machine Infuser first.

What You Can Do With It

• Rotate placed Machine Frames and Machine Bases to face the direction you want.
• Detach and pick up machines without breaking them, preserving their contents and settings.
• Configure connected blocks such as the Information Screen.

Step-by-Step Use

1. Hold the Smart Wrench in your main hand.

2. Right-click a Machine Frame or Machine Base to rotate or configure it.

3. Sneak-right-click to pick the machine up intact.

4. Right-click an Information Screen to adjust its settings.

Why It Matters

Without the Smart Wrench you cannot easily reposition machines once placed. Keep one in your inventory whenever you are building or rearranging an RFTools Base setup. If a machine is facing the wrong way or you need to move it to a new location, the Smart Wrench is the correct tool — do not break the block with a pickaxe, as that can lose the machine's configuration.
