How to Upgrade to Netherite Wolf Armor with Smithing

The Smithing Transform

Netherite Wolf Armor is the only armor in the mod made with a smithing_transform recipe. You cannot craft it directly on a crafting table. You need a smithing table and a Diamond Wolf Armor as the base.

Required Items

• Diamond Wolf Armor (the base piece)
• Netherite Ingot (the upgrade material)
• A smithing template, if your smithing setup requires one

Steps

1. Place a smithing table and open it.

2. Put the Diamond Wolf Armor in the base slot.

3. Put the Netherite Ingot in the addition slot.

4. Add the smithing template in its slot if required.

5. Take the Netherite Wolf Armor from the result slot.

The Diamond Wolf Armor is consumed in the transform, so craft a fresh Diamond Wolf Armor first if you are upgrading a wolf that is already wearing one.

Why Upgrade

Netherite Wolf Armor is the top tier. It survives longer and protects better than Diamond. Because it requires netherite, treat it as an endgame goal — secure ancient debris and smelt it into netherite scrap before attempting this. Equip the finished piece on your tamed wolf the same way as any other armor.
