Understanding EV-Based Rewards

When you clear an outbreak, the swarm drops silver bottlecaps based on the defeated species' EV yield. Pokémon with higher EV stats award more bottlecaps. This means targeting high-EV species gives better rewards for your effort.

Choosing High-Yield Outbreaks

Prioritize outbreaks of species known for strong EV yields. Physical attackers and special attackers typically grant more bottlecaps than balanced or defensive Pokémon. Check which species are available in your current region and plan accordingly.

Clearing Complete Swarms

Defeat or catch all creatures in an outbreak to receive the full reward. Partial clears may reduce bottlecap drops. Bring adequate Poké Balls and healing items to ensure you can complete each swarm without fainting.

Stockpiling Caps

Collect bottlecaps across multiple outbreak clears to build reserves for EV training. Since outbreaks respawn and expand to over 400 species, you have many opportunities to farm caps. Store them safely for when you need to optimize your team's stats.
