Catching Base Forms and Baby Pokémon from Outbreaks

Why Base Forms Matter

This data pack replaces high-stage evolution outbreaks with baby or base forms like Magby instead of Magmortar. This lets you catch and train Pokémon from their earliest stages, giving you full control over their growth and moveset learning.

Locating Base Form Outbreaks

Seek outbreaks in early-game and mid-game biomes where starter lines and unevolved species naturally appear. These outbreaks will feature the base form rather than final evolutions, making them ideal for building teams from scratch.

Training from Early Stages

Caught base forms start at appropriate wild levels for their biome. Train them gradually to learn moves naturally and develop bonds with your team. This approach differs from catching fully evolved Pokémon and offers better long-term team synergy.

Accessing Starter Lines

Outbreaks now include all starter evolution lines, so you can obtain starters beyond your initial choice. Hunt outbreaks in different biomes to find Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and other regional starters as swarms rather than one-time gifts.
