Optimize Performance by Layering RenderLib with Multiple Rendering Mods
Build Your Rendering Stack
Start with RenderLib as your foundation. Then add optimization mods in this order:
1. Install RenderLib
2. Add EntityCulling to hide off-screen entities
3. Add Nothirium for visual improvements
Each layer builds on RenderLib's updated rendering systems.
Monitor Performance Impact
Use F3 to watch your frame rate and entity count as you add each mod. You should see:
- Stable or improved FPS
- Fewer entities rendered when looking away from mobs
- Smoother tile entity updates
Adjust Based on Your Hardware
If performance drops, remove mods in reverse order to find the culprit. RenderLib itself uses minimal resources; problems usually come from conflicts between EntityCulling and Nothirium, or incompatibility with other mods. Test in different areas of your world—performance gains are most visible in areas with many mobs or tile entities.
