Make Torches and Lanterns Cast Colored Light

Verify Colored Lighting is Enabled

Open shader settings and confirm that Colored Light or Tinted GI is toggled on. This feature allows the shader to detect light-emitting blocks and spread their color through the global illumination system.

Place Light Sources Strategically

Torches, lanterns, and other light blocks now emit light in their natural color. Place a torch in a dark cave and observe how nearby stone takes on a warm, orange tint from the indirect light. Lanterns produce similar warm glows. The effect is most visible on surfaces facing the light source indirectly.

Combine Multiple Light Colors

Experiment by placing different light sources near each other—warm torches next to cooler light sources create interesting color gradients on surrounding blocks. This is especially effective in interior builds and underground bases.

Adjust Color Saturation (Optional)

If colored lighting feels too intense, look for a Color Saturation or Tint Strength slider in the GI settings and reduce it to make the effect more subtle.
