How to Store Items and Fluids on a Refined Storage Network

Item storage

Craft a Storage Disk at the tier you need: 1k Storage Disk, 4k Storage Disk, 16k Storage Disk, or 64k Storage Disk. Place a Disk Interface on your network with Cable, then put the disk inside it. Open a Grid to see the stored items.

If you prefer a fixed block instead of a disk, use a Storage Block: 1k Storage Block, 4k Storage Block, 16k Storage Block, or 64k Storage Block. Place it on the network and it adds capacity directly.

To upgrade an existing disk, use the storage_container_upgrade recipe to move a disk up a tier without losing its contents.

Fluid storage

Fluids use their own disks and blocks: 64B Fluid Storage Disk, 256B Fluid Storage Disk, 1024B Fluid Storage Disk, and 4096B Fluid Storage Disk, plus the matching Fluid Storage Blocks. Put a Fluid Storage Disk into a Disk Interface the same way as an item disk.

For unlimited fluid storage, use the Creative Fluid Storage Disk or Creative Fluid Storage Block.

Pulling items in

Place an Importer against a chest, machine, or farm output and connect it with Cable. Configure the Importer to pull the items you want. Use an Exporter to push items back out to a machine. Use External Storage to expose a chest's contents directly to the Grid without moving them onto a disk.
