Enhance Foliage and Leaf Sway Effects
Locate Foliage Settings
Enter the shader options menu and find the section labeled for vegetation, foliage, or wind effects. This controls how trees, leaves, and tall grass respond to environmental movement.
Configure Wind Behavior
Adjust available sliders for:
- Wind strength — determines how vigorously leaves and grass sway
- Wind speed — controls how quickly the swaying motion cycles
- Sway range — sets the maximum distance foliage moves from its resting position
Observe Different Biomes
Walk through various biomes to see how settings affect different vegetation types. Dense forests show sway effects more dramatically than sparse grasslands. Tall grass and crops respond noticeably to wind changes, while tree canopies display broader motion patterns.
Balance Aesthetics and Performance
Higher wind settings create more immersive movement but increase GPU load. If performance suffers, reduce wind strength or disable sway for specific vegetation types. The effect remains visible even at moderate settings.
