How to Craft a Redstone Relay and Use It as a Signal Extender

Crafting the Relay

The Redstone Relay is the base block for most of the mod's logic. It is produced through the redstonepen:crafting_extended_shapeless recipe type, which means you combine a set of loose ingredients in a crafting grid without a fixed shape. Gather redstone dust and the other loose components the recipe expects, place them anywhere in the grid, and take the resulting Redstone Relay.

Once you have one, place it against the side of any block that carries a redstone signal. The relay reads the incoming signal and re-emits it on its output face, letting you carry power across gaps or around corners where plain redstone dust would lose strength.

Extending a Line

Run your source signal into the input face of the Redstone Relay. Run a wire or another relay from the output face onward. Because the relay re-emits rather than passively conducts, you can chain several relays in a row to push a signal much farther than dust alone allows.

If you need the signal to cross a block without touching it, swap the plain relay for a Bridging Redstone Relay. If you need the output to be the opposite of the input, use an Inverted Redstone Relay in the same position. Both are placed and wired exactly like the base Redstone Relay, so you can prototype with a plain one and substitute later.
