Combine nine Flux-Infused Ingots in a crafting_shaped recipe to make a Flux-Infused Metal Block. Do the same with nine Flux-Infused Gems to make a Flux-Infused Gem Block. Both blocks are storage blocks, so you can reverse the recipe: place one Flux-Infused Metal Block on the crafting grid to get back nine Flux-Infused Ingots, and one Flux-Infused Gem Block to get nine Flux-Infused Gems. Use these blocks when you need compact storage or a decorative solid block.

Obsidian Rods and Flux-Infused Obsidian Rods

Obsidian Rod is the basic handle material. Craft it from Obsidian in a crafting_shaped recipe. Flux-Infused Obsidian Rod is the upgraded handle used in higher-tier tools. It is made by combining Obsidian Rod with Flux-Infused materials in a crafting recipe. Keep a stock of both: Obsidian Rods for early tools, Flux-Infused Obsidian Rods for the advanced versions.
