How to Craft and Use a Quiver

Crafting the Quiver

A Quiver stores arrows so they don't clog your inventory. It is made with a shapeless recipe, so the exact arrangement of ingredients in the grid does not matter — only which items are present. You need a Quiver to make use of Purple Arrow, since the Quiver is the container that holds your ammunition.

Using the Quiver

Once crafted, keep the Quiver in your inventory alongside your bow. Arrows stored in the Quiver are drawn automatically when you fire, so you do not need to move stacks around mid-fight. This is especially useful when carrying Purple Arrow, which you will want ready without occupying a hotbar slot.

Pair the Quiver with a bow enchanted for ranged combat and fill it before heading out. Because it holds arrows separately from your main inventory, you free up slots for other gear such as Studded Armor pieces or a Ruby Flute. Refill the Quiver at a crafting table whenever you return from a trip.
