How to Use the Coffee Grinder and Roasted Coffee Block

Coffee Grinder

The Coffee Grinder is a placed block and the only machine with a dedicated recipe type: ravencoffee:coffee_grinding. Its job is to turn Coffee Cherries into Coffee Beans, and Coffee Beans into Ground Coffee. Place it near your farm and your Coffee Machine so you are not running across the base.

Roasted Coffee Block

Roasted Coffee Block is a storage and processing block made from Roasted Coffee Beans. Craft Roasted Coffee Beans into the block to save chest space, then break the block back into Roasted Coffee Beans when you need them. This is the standard compact-storage pattern.

Roasting Step

Roasted Coffee Beans come from smelting or blasting Coffee Beans. A blast furnace is faster. Set up a dedicated furnace or blast furnace next to the Coffee Grinder so the chain is: Cherries, Grinder, Beans, Furnace, Roasted Coffee Beans.

Sack Storage

Sack is a bulk storage block. Use it for Coffee Beans, Roasted Coffee Beans, or Ground Coffee so your kitchen chests do not overflow. Pair Sack with Roasted Coffee Block for a tidy processing room.

Layout Suggestion

Put the Coffee Grinder, a furnace or blast furnace, a chest of Coffee Cherries, and a chest of Cups in one room. Add the Coffee Machine on the same wall. This keeps the full chain, Cherries to Beans to Roasted to brewed drink, within a few blocks.
