How to Grow Coffee Beans from Coffee Cherries

Getting Started with Coffee Cherries

Coffee Cherries are your seed item. Plant them on farmland to grow a Coffee Tree. The tree produces Coffee Tree Trunk and Coffee Tree Leaves as it grows. Break Coffee Tree Leaves to harvest more Coffee Cherries, which lets you expand your farm without hunting for wild trees.

From Cherries to Beans

Coffee Cherries are not directly brewable. You must process them. Use the Coffee Grinder to convert Coffee Cherries into Coffee Beans. The Coffee Grinder is a placed block, so craft and set it down before you start. Once you have Coffee Beans, you can roast them.

Roasting

Roasted Coffee Beans are produced by smelting Coffee Beans. You can also use a blasting recipe for a faster roast. Roasted Coffee Beans are the core ingredient for most drinks. If you want a compact storage option, craft Roasted Coffee Beans into a Roasted Coffee Block, then break it back down when needed.

Scaling Up

A single Coffee Tree gives you a renewable loop: Cherries to Beans to Roasted Coffee Beans. Keep a stack of Coffee Cherries in reserve so you can replant immediately after harvesting leaves. The Coffee Grinder is the bottleneck in early production, so build one before you plant your first tree.
