How to Make Cheese

Getting Milk First

Cheese production starts with milk. Craft a Cauldron of Milk, then place it and let it process into curds. From there you can produce Cauldron of Cheese, Cauldron of Blue Cheese, and Cauldron of Nether Cheese depending on what you add to the curdling process. The Curdling Station is the block that drives this conversion — place it and feed it the milk cauldron to begin curdling.

Solid Cheese Blocks and Items

Once you have curds, you can press them into solid forms. Block of Cheese, Block of Blue Cheese, and Block of Nether Cheese are the three base cheese blocks. From Block of Cheese you can craft Cheese, the basic food and taming item. Blue Cheese and Nether Cheese come from their respective cauldrons and blocks. Marbled Cheese and its variants (Marbled Cheese Brick, Marbled Cheese Pillar, Marbled Cheese Tile, Marbled Cheese Slab, Marbled Cheese Stairs) are decorative building blocks made from cheese materials. Chiseled Marbled Cheese and Chiseled Marbled Cheese Brick are further decorative cuts.

Cheese Ore and Cheese Token

Cheese Ore generates in the world and drops cheese-related materials when mined. Chunky Cheese Token is a special item used in higher-tier cheese crafting. Creative Cheese exists only in creative mode. Black Marbled Cheese is a darker decorative variant.

Uses

Cheese is the primary taming and breeding food for rats. Keep a stock of Block of Cheese broken down into individual Cheese items for feeding. Blue Cheese and Nether Cheese serve as advanced variants for specialized rats and recipes.
