Getting Ectoplasm

Ectoplasm is a Random Things item you obtain through gameplay rather than mining. It is tied to specific mob or world interactions, so you need to trigger those conditions to get it. Once you know the source, farm it deliberately instead of hoping to stumble on it.

Storing It Safely

Ectoplasm stacks like most items, but keep it separate from your general storage. Because it is used in Random Things recipes, mixing it into a shared chest makes it easy to burn through by accident. Label a chest or use a dedicated slot in your inventory.

Crafting with Ectoplasm

Ectoplasm serves as an ingredient in Random Things recipes. Open the crafting grid and place it exactly where the recipe requires. If a recipe calls for multiple Ectoplasm, make sure each slot has a full stack before crafting so you do not waste a partial batch. Check every Random Things recipe that lists Ectoplasm before you spend your supply, and prioritize the item you actually need. If you are short, go back to the source and gather more rather than substituting a different item, since substitutes will not complete the recipe.
