Enhance Nighttime and Cave Lighting
Access Lighting Controls
In your shader settings, find the ambient lighting or global illumination section. This controls how bright unlit areas appear at night and underground. You can also look for moonlight intensity settings to adjust how much the moon illuminates your world.
Adjust Night Vision Balance
Increase ambient lighting slightly to make caves and nighttime exploration less pitch-black, while maintaining atmosphere. Be careful not to over-brighten—the shader's strength comes from contrast between lit and shadowed areas. The moonlight slider lets you control whether nights feel eerie or navigable.
Customize Block Light Behavior
Look for settings controlling how torches, lanterns, and other light sources spread through the environment. Some shader options let you increase the glow radius of light sources, making torchlight feel warmer and more expansive in dark spaces. This creates better visibility without feeling artificial. Test these settings in caves and at night to ensure you maintain the cinematic atmosphere while keeping gameplay functional.
