Optimize Performance While Keeping Visual Quality
Identify Performance Bottlenecks
Enable the FPS counter to monitor frame rate. If you experience stuttering or low FPS, the shader's glow calculations may be too intensive for your system.
Reduce Shader Load
Access shader settings and look for:
- Glow render distance – Decrease how far away glowing effects are calculated
- Bloom quality – Switch from high to medium or low quality bloom effects
- Shadow detail – Lower shadow resolution if available
- Ambient occlusion – Disable or reduce if it impacts performance
Balance Quality and Speed
Make one change at a time and test for 30 seconds in varied terrain. Prioritize keeping glow intensity high while reducing render distance or bloom quality first—these changes are less noticeable than removing glow entirely.
If performance remains poor, consider using a lighter shader or upgrading your graphics driver. The mod works best on systems with dedicated GPUs.
