Building with Vertical Slabs, Posts, and Hedges

Vertical Slabs

Quark adds vertical slabs for many block sets, including Acacia Vertical Slab, Andesite Vertical Slab, Andesite Brick Vertical Slab, Ashen Vertical Slab, Azalea Vertical Slab, and Bamboo Vertical Slab. Craft them from the matching full block. Use them to make thin walls, window frames, and trim that a normal slab cannot produce. Combine a vertical slab with a regular slab to form a clean corner.

Posts and Hedges

Posts such as Acacia Post, Ashen Post, Azalea Post, and Bamboo Post give you a narrow column block for fences, lamp posts, and railings. Place them in rows to build open fencing that does not block movement the way a full fence does.

Leaf Hedges like Acacia Leaf Hedge, Ashen Leaf Hedge, Azalea Leaf Hedge, and Birch Leaf Hedge are thin leafy blocks. Use them as low garden borders or to line a path without the bulk of full leaves. Leaf Carpets such as Acacia Leaf Carpet and Ashen Leaf Carpet sit flat on the ground for detail work.

Stonecutting

Many of these shapes come from the stonecutting recipe type. Put Andesite Bricks, Andesite Pillar, or a matching plank block into a stonecutter and cycle the output to the slab, stair, wall, or vertical slab variant you want. This avoids wasting material on shapes you do not need.
