Building with Andesite, Blackstone and Terracotta Shingles

Andesite Family

Andesite Bricks are the base block. From them you can make Andesite Brick Slab, Andesite Brick Stairs, Andesite Brick Wall and Andesite Brick Vertical Slab. Andesite Pillar is a separate decorative column block, and Andesite Vertical Slab is the plain-stone vertical slab.

Use stonecutting to convert Andesite Bricks into any of the slab, stair, wall or vertical slab variants without wasting material. Andesite Pillar works as a corner post between two Andesite Brick Wall runs.

Blackstone Family

Blackstone Bricks, Blackstone Brick Slab, Blackstone Brick Stairs, Blackstone Brick Wall, Blackstone Brick Vertical Slab and Blackstone Vertical Slab follow the same pattern. Blackstone Furnace is a furnace variant that matches the blackstone palette, so a smelting room built from Blackstone Bricks stays visually consistent.

Terracotta Shingles

Black Terracotta Shingles are the base, with Black Terracotta Shingle Slab, Black Terracotta Shingle Stairs and Black Terracotta Shingle Vertical Slab as variants. Shingles read as roofing, so layer Stairs over Slabs to suggest overlapping tiles.

Mixing Palettes

Pair Andesite Bricks with Blackstone Bricks for contrast, and cap roof ridges with Black Terracotta Shingle Stairs. Use Vertical Slabs wherever a full block would block sightlines.
