How to Build a Quantum Storage Unit and Expand It with Storage Frames

Place the core

Craft a Quantum Storage Unit and place it down. This is the central block that holds your items. On its own it stores a limited amount, so plan to expand it before you dump a full inventory into it.

Add capacity with Storage Frames

Craft Storage Frames and place them touching the Quantum Storage Unit. Each Storage Frame you attach increases the total capacity of the unit. Build outward in a flat layer or a cube around the core; the frames must connect to the existing structure, so place the first frame directly against the Quantum Storage Unit and each further frame against a frame already placed.

Once the frames are attached, open the Quantum Storage Unit to see the combined storage. Insert items by hand or feed them in with a Storage IO (see the IO guide).

Keep the shape intact

Breaking a Storage Frame in the middle of the structure removes its capacity from the unit. If you need to reshape, break from the outside inward so you do not orphan frames. A compact cube of frames around one Quantum Storage Unit gives you far more room than a single block, and the whole thing still counts as one storage inventory when you open it.
