The Petrified Set

Petrified wood gives you a full building family: Petrified Log, Petrified Wood, Petrified Planks, Petrified Stairs, Petrified Slab, Petrified Fence, Petrified Fence Gate, Petrified Button, Petrified Preasure Plate, Petrifieddoor, Petrifiedtrapdoor, and Petrified Shoji. Together they cover almost every structural need for a stone-wood hybrid build.

From Log to Planks

Start with Petrified Log. Convert logs into Petrified Planks using the standard plank crafting recipe — one log yields four planks. From planks you can then craft stairs, slabs, fences, fence gates, buttons, pressure plates, doors, and trapdoors through the mod's shaped recipes. Use a stonecutter where available to cut stairs and slabs more efficiently.

Building a Petrified Structure

1. Frame the walls with Petrified Logs at the corners.

2. Fill wall panels with Petrified Planks.

3. Cut Petrified Stairs for roof edges and Petrified Slab for half-height trim.

4. Install Petrifieddoor and Petrifiedtrapdoor for entrances.

5. Surround the yard with Petrified Fence and a Petrified Fence Gate.

6. Add Petrified Shoji as interior window panels.

Details

Petrified Button and Petrified Preasure Plate match the set for redstone builds. Because the whole family shares one texture palette, mixing pieces never looks mismatched — build freely and swap shapes as needed.
