What Shoji Are

Shoji are decorative screen blocks available in many wood variants: Oak Shoji, Birch Shoji, Acacia Shoji, Jungle Shoji, Mangrove Shoji, Dark Oak Shoji, Crimson Shoji, Bamboo Shoji, and Petrified Shoji. They are thin, panel-like blocks useful for windows, room dividers, and traditional-style builds.

Making Them

Each Shoji is produced through the mod's crafting recipes using materials tied to its wood type — planks, paper-like components, and sticks are the usual inputs. Because the mod registers both shaped and shapeless crafting recipes, check your recipe book after picking up the matching wood. If a recipe does not appear, gather the base wood and try the shapeless grid.

Where to Use Them

• Replace glass in a Japanese-style house with Oak or Birch Shoji for a softer look.
• Use Crimson Shoji in Nether builds where normal wood would clash.
• Bamboo Shoji fits jungle and panda-themed areas.
• Petrified Shoji pairs naturally with Petrified Planks, Petrified Log, Petrified Stairs, and Petrified Slab for a full petrified room.

Shoji blocks are not full solid cubes visually, so place them one block apart to create a lattice corridor. Combine with Sakura Blossoms and Sakura Blossom Pile outside for a complete garden aesthetic.
