Keep Safe Zones Protected While Allowing Scheduled PvP

Combine PvP Time with Region Protection

The PvP Time Plugin works alongside WorldGuard to create a balanced system: players can fight during scheduled hours, but designated safe zones (towns, spawn areas, shops) remain protected at all times.

Configuration for Safe Zones

1. Set up your WorldGuard regions as normal and deny PvP within them

2. In your PvP Time configuration, ensure the plugin is set to respect-worldguard: true

3. Reload the plugin with /pvptime reload

4. Players inside protected regions cannot attack each other, even during active PvP hours

5. Outside protected regions, combat follows your scheduled hours

Integration with Towny

If you use Towny for town management, the plugin automatically activates PvP in towns during declared wars, overriding the normal schedule. This lets wars happen on your timeline while keeping peace in other towns.

Testing Your Setup

Have a player try attacking another player both inside and outside a protected region during PvP hours. The attack should fail inside the region but succeed outside it.
