Using the Vector Ruler and Flash Ring

Vector Ruler

The Vector Ruler is a handheld tool for measuring positions and directions in the world. Use it to read coordinates and vectors that you then reference in spell programs. It is useful when you want a spell to target a specific point or move along a specific direction.

Flash Ring

The Flash Ring is a worn item that produces a light effect. Equip it and activate it when you need illumination without placing torches. It pairs well with spell programs that depend on light levels, such as those using the Exosuit Light Sensor.

Combine with sensors

If you are wearing the Psimetal Exosuit with an Exosuit Light Sensor installed, the Flash Ring's output can influence light-based spell logic. The Exosuit Heat Sensor, Exosuit Water Sensor, Exosuit Stress Sensor, and Exosuit Detonation Sensor work the same way for their respective conditions.

Practice

Measure a target with the Vector Ruler, write a program that uses that vector, load it into a Spell Bullet, and cast it from your CAD. Adjust the vector and repeat until the spell lands where you want.
