How to Build Your First CAD

Gather the parts

A Casting Assistant Device (CAD) is assembled from three components: a CAD Core, a CAD Battery, and a CAD Socket. Craft the Basic CAD Core, Basic CAD Battery, and Basic CAD Socket first. You also need a CAD Assembler block to combine them.

Assemble the CAD

Place the CAD Assembler and open it. Insert the Basic CAD Core, Basic CAD Battery, and Basic CAD Socket into the assembly. The result is a working Casting Assistant Device you can hold.

Upgrade later

Once you have Psimetal Ingot and other materials, you can build better cores such as the Overclocked CAD Core, Hyperclocked CAD Core, Conductive CAD Core, or Radiative CAD Core. Batteries upgrade to Extended CAD Battery and Ultradense CAD Battery. Sockets upgrade to Large CAD Socket, Huge CAD Socket, Signaling CAD Socket, and Transmissive CAD Socket. Reassemble in the CAD Assembler to swap parts.

Color it

Apply any CAD Colorizer (Red, Blue, Green, Black, White, Full-Spectrum, Drained, and so on) to change the CAD's appearance without affecting function.
