How to Get a Capybara in Promenade

Spawning and Taming

Capybaras come from the Capybara Spawn Egg. Use it on a grass or dirt block near water to place one. Capybaras are passive and will not flee when you approach, so you can walk right up to them.

Feeding and Breeding

Hold Blueberries or Mango and interact with a capybara to feed it. Feeding two adult capybaras puts them into breeding mode and produces a baby. Blueberries come from Blueberry Bush, which you can harvest and replant. Mango is a fruit item you can also offer.

Keep a small pen with a water source block. Capybaras path toward water and will sit in it. Fence the area with Maple Fence or Dark Amaranth Fence to keep them contained. If you want a themed enclosure, line the floor with Asphalt paths and decorate with Moai statues.

Practical Uses

A capybara is a decorative mob — no drops, no riding. Breed a small herd for a pond feature, or place a single one near a Maple Boat dock as a landmark. Feed spare Blueberries to keep them from wandering off your build.
