How to Make Illumar in All 16 Colors

Illumar Basics

Illumar is the mod's colored light and signal material. There are sixteen colors: White Illumar, Orange Illumar, Magenta Illumar, Light Blue Illumar, Yellow Illumar, Lime Illumar, Pink Illumar, Gray Illumar, Light Gray Illumar, Cyan Illumar, Purple Illumar, Blue Illumar, Brown Illumar, Green Illumar, Red Illumar, and Black Illumar.

Crafting Colored Illumar

Each color is made by combining a base Illumar material with the matching dye. The recipe is shapeless, so the arrangement in the grid does not matter — only the ingredients. Start with White Illumar as your neutral base, then tint it.

1. Craft White Illumar from its base ingredients.

2. Combine White Illumar with a dye to produce the target color.

3. Repeat for each color you need.

Where Illumar Is Used

Illumar feeds into lamps, indicators, and colored circuit parts. It is also a component in several Silicon Chip branches and in decorative lighting blocks. Because the recipes are shapeless, you can batch-craft: put a stack of White Illumar and a stack of dye in the grid and pull out a stack of colored Illumar.

Storage Tip

Keep one chest with all sixteen colors sorted by hue. Label the chest or use item frames so you can grab the right color without searching. Mixing up Cyan and Light Blue is the most common mistake when building indicator panels.
