How to Craft Silicon, Silicon Boule, and Silicon Chips

From Sand to Silicon

Silicon is the raw semiconductor for every chip in the mod. Start by crafting Sand Coal Compound from sand and coal. Smelt Sand Coal Compound to obtain Silicon. This is your first bottleneck: set up a furnace line so Silicon keeps flowing while you work on other parts.

Boule and Chips

Silicon alone is not enough for circuits. Combine Silicon into a Silicon Boule, then process the boule into Silicon Chip. From there you branch into the doped variants:

• Red Silicon Compound: Silicon Chip plus redstone-family material.
• Electrotine Silicon Compound: Silicon Chip plus electrotine-family material.
• Glowing Silicon Compound: Silicon Chip plus glowstone-family material.

Smelt or craft these compounds into Infused Silicon and Energized Silicon as your recipes demand. Energized Silicon Chip is the top-tier chip and is required for advanced logic and machines.

Practical Tips

Keep three chests: one for raw Silicon, one for Silicon Boule, one for finished chips. Silicon Chip is used in almost every logic gate, so craft a stack before you start building. If a recipe stalls, check whether it needs Red Silicon Compound versus Electrotine Silicon Compound — they look similar but feed different branches.
