Make Nether and End Portals Glow Realistically

Locate Portal Glow Settings

In the shader menu, find options for portal brightness, glow intensity, or emissive block handling. Prismora treats portals as light sources that should illuminate surroundings.

Increase Portal Luminosity

Boost the glow strength so portals cast visible light onto nearby blocks and entities. In dark caves or at night, a properly glowing portal should be visible from a distance and illuminate the ground around it.

Adjust Glow Color Accuracy

Ensure Nether portals emit purple/magenta light and End portals emit dark blue or black light. If color controls exist, fine-tune these to match the portal's visual appearance.

Test Portal Visibility

Build test portals in different environments: deep caves, on mountains, in forests. Portals should stand out as light sources without creating unrealistic bloom or lens flare unless you want that effect.

Balance with Surrounding Lighting

If portal glow overwhelms nearby blocks or makes caves too bright, reduce intensity slightly. The goal is noticeable illumination that feels atmospheric rather than artificial or distracting during gameplay.
