Design Floors and Walls with Azulejo Tiles
What Makes Azulejo Tiles Special
Azulejo tiles are decorative blocks inspired by Portuguese tilework. Unlike directional blocks, these tiles maintain their pattern regardless of which direction you place them—no rotation frustration when building intricate designs.
Crafting Your Azulejo Tiles
1. Craft an azulejo pattern — In your crafting grid, combine dyes to create a specific azulejo pattern item. Different dye combinations produce different patterns (Sunburst, Indigo, Baroque, Geometric, Vines, Garden, Blue Petal, Yellow Petal, Cross, and others).
2. Combine pattern with bricks — Take your azulejo pattern item and place it together with a bricks block in the crafting grid.
3. Collect your decorative tile — The result is an azulejo tile block displaying your chosen pattern.
Building with Azulejo Tiles
Place tiles freely on floors and walls—they won't rotate or reorient based on your facing direction, making large patterned areas much easier to construct. Mix multiple azulejo patterns for complex floor designs, or use a single pattern for cohesive wall decoration. Combine with dyed bricks for balanced, authentic Portuguese-inspired architecture.
