Dye Your First Piece of Armor
Gather Materials
Collect or craft Enamel and obtain a dye of your choice. You can use standard Minecraft dyes (like Lapis Lazuli for blue) or craft Rainbow Dye for a vibrant multi-color effect. Have your armor piece ready—any helmet, chestplate, leggings, or boots will work.
Apply Color
Place your armor piece and enamel together in a crafting grid with your chosen dye. This creates an enameled, dyed version of the item. The color is not yet permanent at this stage.
Fire in the Kiln
Build or locate a Kiln and place your dyed armor inside. The Kiln will fire the enamel coating, permanently locking in the color. Once complete, retrieve your finished piece.
Reset if Needed
If you change your mind about the color, use the Scraper tool on your enameled armor to strip away the enamel coating entirely. This resets the item to its original appearance so you can re-dye it with a different color.
