Apply the Filmic Color Grade to Your World
What the Filmic Color Grade Does
The calibrated filmic color grade adjusts how colors appear across your entire view. It applies a movie-like tone curve that enhances contrast, adjusts saturation, and gives scenes a professional cinematic look while preserving Minecraft's blocky aesthetic.
See the Effect in Different Environments
The color grade is always active but most noticeable in:
- Bright outdoor scenes (enhanced contrast)
- Sunset and sunrise (warmer, more dramatic tones)
- Underground caves (adjusted brightness and color balance)
- Water and reflective surfaces (enhanced color depth)
Adjust Color Grade Intensity
Access shader settings and look for color grading or tone mapping options. You can:
- Increase intensity for a stronger cinematic look
- Decrease it if you prefer more natural colors
- Fine-tune saturation and contrast separately
Test Across Lighting Conditions
Visit different biomes and times of day to see how the color grade affects your world. The effect should enhance visual appeal without making the game look unnatural or oversaturated.
