Identify Readability Problems

While Pretty Dark UI is designed for clarity, certain item names or text might blend into the dark background depending on your monitor settings or color blindness.

1. Open your inventory or any menu where text appears hard to read

2. Note which specific text elements are problematic

3. Check if the issue occurs in all menus or only certain screens

Adjust Text Color or Background Contrast

The resource pack controls text rendering through texture files:

• Locate the GUI texture files in the resource pack folder
• Edit the background panels to increase contrast—make dark areas slightly lighter or add subtle borders
• Alternatively, modify text color files to use brighter whites or lighter grays
• Ensure sufficient contrast ratio between text and background

Verify Changes In-Game

Reload the resource pack and test readability across inventory, chests, crafting tables, and settings menus. If text is still difficult to read, consider increasing the background brightness slightly or switching to a complementary text color.
